Australia's "so-called" housing affordability crisis doesn't add up. Sydney and Melbourne house prices are rising fast but this isn't the case for the rest of the country. In my opinion, decentralisation is the key to keeping home prices affordable and also people's expectations need to become more realistic. I think the principals I discuss in this video can apply to most western countries with similar economies. As more and more people cram into our crowded cities like sheep in a pen and with accommodation prices skyrocketing there are beautiful big homes and acreages on the city fringes able to be purchased for a fraction of the cost.
