This is our THIRD annual trip up to the BlueJay Sapphire Mine, digging incredible natural sapphire crystals right from the mountainside!
There’s just one problem… this is probably the hardest hike I have ever done, and for some reason I keep coming back! This is the third time I’ve tortured my body getting up this mountain, so you know the sapphires have to be pretty amazing to convince me to do it again.
Dayna joins me once again as we make the brutal climb and spend the day digging for natural sapphire crystals.
This year we have a slightly different goal. Of course we’re still hoping to find a few spectacular WOW pieces, but we’re also concentrating on collecting smaller specimens that we can make available on our website. We want these amazing Canadian sapphires to be accessible to everyone, so our goal is to have specimens ranging from around $25 all the way up to $1,000+, with something for almost every budget.
