If you are thinking about buying an acreage/homestead you should consider how much work the existing trees will be and then either prepare for plenty of chopping/chipping or purchase a property that doesn't have too many. Yes, trees provide free firewood, mulch, fence posts, etc but they also cost time and money in maintenance, plus, depending on your age or health it may even be a task too difficult to undertake.
